We pride ourselves, at Running ‘P’ Ropes, in making ropes that consistently have the “feel” that ropers desire. From the beginning amateur to the world champion, they look for a rope with the right “feel”. If it “feels” right you buy it. If it doesn’t you don’t want it. We at Running ‘P’ Ropes understand that if we don’t provide you with the right “feel” we’ve failed at our mission.
To accomplish our mission we will soon offer five different feeling ropes to choose from, two blended and two 100% nylon and our Four Strand.

“The Running ‘P’ Rope Story”
We manufacture seven different lays of ropes in three diameters and four varied blends of material. This diversified product line gives our dealers an inventory that can satisfy any “feel” their roping customer could desire. The seven lays of ropes we manufacture are:
Extra Soft, Soft, Medium Soft, Medium, Hard Medium, Medium Hard, and Hard. The extra soft, soft and medium soft are generally preferred by headers. Heelers on occasion use a medium soft, but generally prefer the medium, hard medium and medium hard. Some heelers prefer a hard lay of rope.
The diameters of our ropes are: 5/16” for kid ropes, 3/8” scant, 3/8” true and 3/8” full. The diameter is merely a matter of individual preference that contributes to the “feel” a roper is looking for.

Shelf Life
All lariat ropes have a shelf life. Running ‘P’ Ropes is the only rope company that informs dealers and customers, that lariat ropes have a shelf life. Ropes that remain on a dealer’s shelf for more than ninety days are subject to experience the nylon phenomenon. The phenomenon of contraction or expansion is constantly occurring in a lariat rope, whether it’s lying on a shelf, or experiencing the terrific impact when a hard running steer is caught. All team-roping lariat ropes are made basically with nylon and/or other synthetic fibers. Nylon is a very unstable material that is continuously moving. Weather and humidity, along with all the above, effect ropes and also cause them to change in “feel”. Most ropers know this and will take precautions to keep their ropes protected from heat, cold and humidity. Every rope we manufacture at Running ‘P’ Ropes is dated so you can know how old the rope is. We want you to know that the Running ‘P’ Ropes are fresh and will “feel” just like the last ones you bought. We work closely with our dealers to help them maintain a balanced, yet not excessive inventory.
